Sumith Akmeemana is a Sri Lankan artist who is honoured with titles including ,
"Kala Keerthi Shasana Bandhu Sri Lanka Puthra" ,
"Kala Wishwabhinandana"
for his great contribution to enhance the traditional art industry in Ceylon
for about four decades since 1980's.
So, he is a mural artist , sculptor as well as an architect in Buddhist Vihara industry.
He is also talented in water colour painting , pencil drawing and oil painting.
Additionally, he works as a "vāstu" counsellor in housing industry too.
